Charting Our Course: From Startup to Maritime Leader
In November 2022, Rob Pearce, James Stasinos, Jon Stasinos, and I stood on the dock in Hyannis, MA, watching the MV Brinn Courtney set sail on our- and Vineyard Wind’s-inaugural crew transfer. Our client, Prysmian, was laying cable for America’s first industrial-scale offshore wind farm. Back then, Coast Line Transfers was a lean startup: two vessels, a clear mission, and plenty to prove. Fast forward to 2025, and CLT Marine has evolved dramatically. We've added another vessel, expanded our capabilities, and now provide comprehensive maritime services across logistics, vessel charters, film production support, offshore surveying, and specialized operations for offshore wind developers, port partners, and government agencies. It was time our digital presence matched the scope of our ambitions.
How We’ve Evolved
Our journey has been dynamic, meeting new challenges and growing each year:
Year | Milestones |
2019 | Founded Coast Line Transfers with our first crew boat, MV Brinn Courtney, specializing in reliable offshore crew transfers. |
2020 | Added the 150' offshore supply vessel, MV Capt Joseph E Pearce, expanding into offshore logistics and marine surveys. |
2022 | Supported filming of Finest Kind using MV Capt Joseph E Pearce; retrofitted MV Brinn Courtney for our first offshore wind crew transfer. |
2023 | Acquired and retrofitted 62' aluminum catamaran MV Capt Les Eldridge for continued work with Vineyard Wind and Prysmian; set up Vineyard Wind and GE’s O&M base at State Pier, New Bedford. |
2024 | Rebranded to CLT Marine, diversifying into government, UAV/ROV survey work, and water-quality monitoring along the Hudson River. |
2025 | Expanded geographically, operating MV Capt Les Eldridge from Virginia; launched new CLT-Marine.com to reflect our broadened services and improved client experience. |
Why Refresh Now?
Our original website no longer captured who we've become. Here are key reasons we revamped it in 2025:
Messaging Gap
Our expanded services demanded clearer messaging. From marine logistics to film production support, our website needed to reflect the breadth of our capabilities clearly.
SEO and Visibility
Competition is fierce among offshore logistics partners and Jones Act vessel charters. Stronger SEO ensures you can easily find CLT Marine when searching for trusted maritime solutions.
Mobile User Experience
With 43% of visitors on mobile devices, our redesigned maritime services website now offers faster loading, improved navigation, and seamless user experiences from anywhere.
Enhanced Lead Generation
Our updated lead-capture forms and streamlined quote requests simplify communication, ensuring faster, targeted responses for your maritime inquiries.
Brand Alignment
Our 2024 rebrand from Coast Line Transfers to CLT Marine required digital realignment to clearly communicate our comprehensive capabilities and updated identity.

Personal Note from Ed
The ups and downs of the maritime industry- and current policy headwinds facing offshore wind- have shaped CLT Marine into a stronger, more resilient company. We remain steadfast advocates for offshore wind’s critical role in America's energy future, even as we've grown into logistics, marine surveys, defense contracting, and film production. Our industry has always weathered storms, both literally and figuratively. Sharing our story openly is now more important than ever. Through our refreshed website, we invite you to explore, connect, and join the conversation as we navigate these challenges together.
