ABOUT
Established in 2019, CLT is a leading service provider in the Northeast's rapidly growing offshore wind sector. Born as a strategic spin-off from Boston Line & Service, we carry forward a legacy of unmatched marine service that has graced the Port of Boston since 1933.
Our heritage is more than just a timeline—it's a testament to our unparalleled expertise. At CLT, we seamlessly blend decades of marine experience with a commitment to fostering sustainable local opportunities. For our clients, this translates to superior service, informed by years of industry know-how.
A shining example of our dedication and proficiency is our collaboration with Prysmian on the groundbreaking Vineyard Wind project.
Recognized as the US's first industrial-scale offshore wind endeavor, the Vineyard Wind project stands as a monumental step for the country's offshore wind sector. CLT proudly holds the distinction of executing the project's very first crew transfer in November 2022. Since then, our team has completed over 1300 transfers in the US offshore wind sector, underscoring our capabilities in the offshore wind arena.
With hands-on experience, we've gained a profound understanding of the operational intricacies and unique challenges posed by offshore wind projects. Choose CLT—where tradition meets innovation, and expertise guarantees excellence.

Jones Act Compliant CTVs A Joint Venture Between HST Marine and CLT
In 2019, Coast Line Transfers (CLT) and HST initiated a groundbreaking joint venture, a strategic move that significantly enhances our offerings in the US offshore wind sector. This collaboration unites HST's extensive experience in operating a large, modern fleet of Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) and Service Operation Vessels (SOVs) in Northwestern Europe with CLT's strong local market insight and connections.
HST, as part of the Purus Wind division under Purus Marine, has demonstrated remarkable growth in the offshore renewable energy sector. Since 2017, their fleet has expanded rapidly, expecting to reach 20 state-of-the-art vessels by the end of 2023. The company's track record in safe offshore operations is impressive, with over 123,000 secure passenger transfers and operations across more than 40 wind farms in the North Sea, Baltic Sea, Irish Sea, and French West Coast.
The CLT/HST Joint Venture is uniquely positioned to bring top-tier, Jones Act-compliant offshore wind support services to the burgeoning US market. Our combined expertise in offshore wind farm support, marine vessel operations, and renewable energy solutions positions us to meet the specific needs of the US offshore wind industry with efficiency, safety, and innovation. We are committed to driving forward the growth of offshore renewables, offering bespoke services that address the unique challenges of this dynamic and rapidly growing sector
